Role Purpose:
Ensure all the exam systems are properly maintained according to relevant corporate policies and processes, support business transformation, achieve user and stakeholder satisfaction.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
  • Provide day to day technical support to system users on trouble shooting, provide workaround and solution by monitoring, co-ordinating, investigating and escalating.
  • Evaluate, provide consulting, and fulfil requests from business and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing systems improvements to well guarantee business customer experience when using Exams IT systems.
  • Proactively work with key contacts including business users, product management team and development team for system solutions.
  • Co-work with external service vendor and global partner to promote technical problem solved.
  • Practice tools such as monitoring platform and dataflow analysis platform.
  • Manage and control overall transition on new system release and function enhancement.
  • Design, develop and facilitate exams user training sessions for Exams staff on different IT systems.
  • Develop and manage Exams staff self-service project, build user self-service case library, and promote repeated issue and operational inquiries solved directly by user end.
  • KT to L1 support and promote technical skills shift left.

Role specific knowledge and experience:
  • Foundation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Experience in application supporting project.
  • Proven experience in manage IT systems maintenance practices in Cloud environment.
  • Familiar with SQL script.
  • Proven record of IT project management.
  • Supplier and vendor management

Role specific skills:
  • Understand Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), DevOps, application design and development process.
  • Familiar with SQL and Microsoft tool platforms.
  • Practiced application performance monitoring.
  • Fully understand of providing customer service and satisfaction.
  • Service driven and value driven in business support promotion.
  • Self-motivated learner and good at communication across different teams.

Pay Band: 6 (from CNY 12,000 per month)
Contract Fixed term contract (2 years)

Requirements:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field
  • The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required. English B2 (Aptis, IELTS 6 or equivalent)
  • Chinese C1 ( HSK 5 or equivalent)
